Hanoverian Warmblood | Born 2002 | Tall, Dark & Dressage Royalty | New to NTRC Spring 2025!

Once a fierce competitor in the jumper ring, Katie has since embraced her inner queen—pivoting into the world of dressage with poise, precision, and plenty of flair. With her commanding presence, she now holds the title of Tallest and Heaviest Horse at NTRC (possibly ever!), and she wears that crown with pride.

Katie is our curvy, confident diva, and she knows how to work a crowd—whether she’s floating across the arena or posing in a hula hoop like it’s her personal spotlight.

Though she’s living her best life, Katie is also managing Cushing’s Disease (PPID)—a common endocrine disorder in senior horses that requires vigilant dietary monitoring. To stay healthy, she wears a grazing muzzle and receives regular medication. That doesn’t stop her from trying to convince us her ideal diet is "unlimited pasture, carrots, and peppermints."

Affectionate, expressive, and full of personality, Katie brings joy to every rider and volunteer she meets.
