Meet Sonny!

Quarter Horse | Born April 17, 2002 | Joined NTRC in 2022

Before becoming one of our most reliable therapy partners, Sonny was a seasoned roping horse—but he’s traded rodeos for round bales, and we’d say he’s pretty happy about it.

These days, Sonny is all about serving the riders. He’s the type of horse who instantly reads the room—gentle and slow for lead line beginners, steady and focused for advanced riders working independently. He’s adaptable, affectionate, and has a true teacher’s heart.

When he’s off the clock, though? You’ll find him living the good life—napping in the pasture, using the round bale as a pillow like a total legend. He knows how to work and how to rest, and we love him for it.
