Appendix Quarter Horse | Bay | Born 2001 | New to NTRC Spring 2025!

Ranger has done the miles. Literally.

This seasoned gelding spent years exploring the Colorado wilderness with his former rider before retiring to Missouri—and eventually making his way to NTRC. His owner knew his "cool as a cucumber" demeanor would be a perfect fit for the calm, thoughtful work we do here.

Ranger now brings that steady, seen-it-all energy to the arena, where he’s slowly getting used to a new rhythm of life. He still cranes his neck to peek longingly at the sensory trail whenever we pass by (we get it, Ranger—the trail life never really leaves you), but he’s learning to enjoy the purposeful pace of arena sessions and the soft attention of participants.

Ranger is living with EORTH, a dental condition that means he requires special care—but he handles it all like a pro. He’s gentle, grounded, and always a steady presence in the barn. (And keep watch for his tongue sticking out! He’s not making fun of you, he’s just missing his front teeth!)

💛 Sponsor Ranger and help support his transition from trailblazer to therapy horse legend.
